We carry a full line of 316L and 304L stainless steel butt weld tees. Our butt weld tees meet strict certifications required on current piping systems with qualities of high strength and SS corrosion resistance for use in various industries and environments, when stainless steel pipes need to change direction or use point path design requirements, stainless steel elbows and stainless steel tee fittings need to be used for connection. Different connecting pipe diameters will result in stainless steel reducing tee fittings. Below, Shengtian Group will take you to understand the stainless steel tee.
1. Outline of stainless steel tees
The shape of the inner cavity of the forming mold determines the quality of stainless steel tees. Therefore, the main factor affecting the quality of stainless steel tees is the shape of the mold core, including the internal and external dimensions of the tees, roundness, and flatness on the sides, which are directly related to the shape of the mold core. The quality of the three-way forming is determined by the quality of the mold core, so controlling the shape and size of the mold core is very important for the three-way.
2. Factors affecting the quality of stainless steel tees
The size of the shoulder of the tee, the shape of the transition between the main and branch pipes, and other factors that reflect the reliability of the tee are achieved through the use of forming molds. Therefore, the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of three-way molds are important factors related to the quality of pipe tee molds.
3. The Characteristics of Stainless Steel Tee Forming Process
The hydraulic extrusion molding of the reducer tee is a one-time molding process with high manufacturing efficiency. The surface of the product is flat and smooth, without any protrusions, and the thickness of the pipe tee main pipe and branch pipe is uniform.
4. Precautions for forming stainless steel tees
It is very important to determine the process parameters of the reducing tee forming process. Excessive or insufficient pressure during pipe tee extrusion molding can cause poor molding, leading to repair or scrapping. The current, voltage, speed, etc. of the reducing tee during the welding process will directly affect the welding quality. The pushing speed of the hot pushed tee should be adapted to the heating speed when heated to the specified temperature, otherwise it may lead to poor forming of the tee and other situations.
5. Application of Stainless Steel Reducing Tee
The production processes commonly used for stainless steel fittings used in pipeline diversion are cold extrusion and hot pushing. Tee cold extrusion is a machining process that compensates the axial direction of stainless steel material and extrudes it into a branch pipe. The machining process involves using a hydraulic press to place hydraulic oil into a blank with the same outer diameter as the stainless steel tee, and then synchronously moving the two oil steels of the hydraulic press to the middle to extrude a reducer tee blank. After extrusion, the volume of the blank decreases, and the hydraulic oil in the blank increases in pressure as the volume of the blank decreases. When the force required for the three-way branch pipe extrusion is reached, the three-way branch pipe is extruded.
